The top four teams in the NPL Tasmania competition all face important games this weekend in Round 16.

Leaders Devonport City face an awkward trip to Warrior Park on Sunday to take on fifth-ranked Olympia Warriors, who held them to a 1-1 draw the last time the sides met at this venue.

The Warriors have no chance of winning the title, but they can have a say in which team does.

Both teams should be at full strength so an exciting game is on the cards.

Second-placed Launceston City have not chalked up a win in their past four outings but that should change when they take on bottom-side Clarence United away at Wentworth Park at 4pm tomorrow.

I would love to know who comes up with this scheduling.

Clarence play at 4pm, while Kingborough Lions United host South Hobart at Lightwood Park at 6pm.

How on earth can fans watch both games? I’m going to have to leave Wentworth Park at half-time, or early in the second half, to catch the game at Lightwood Park.

Absolutely ridiculous scheduling. And besides, it’s winter, so why have night games?

South Hobart were almost held to a draw by Kingborough when they last met at Lightwood Park, but the visitors should cruise to a win this time around.

Third-placed Hobart Zebras are away to Northern Rangers at the NTCA Ground on Sunday.

Rangers toppled South Hobart a couple of weeks ago, but they are unlikely to get much satisfaction against a Zebras outfit fighting to stay in the title race.

NPL Tasmania Round 16 schedule:

KingboroughLions United v South Hobart, Saturday, 28 July, 6:00pm, Lightwood Park

#4. You are correct that is the process. Clubs have more than ample opportunity to request changes very early in the season.
It is not all FFT’s doing.

As captain of South Hobart I would have thought Nick Morton would be in the club rooms after the game to reply to the speeches as the visiting captain.

Why is everyone complaining about the scheduling.
When the rosters are released why don't clubs look at them and then contact fft to see if a possible change can be made.

I'm sure if both clubs are in agreement then I'm sure it can be sorted.

Quoting Anon:
Walter I would say the competitions manager would be responsible for the scheduling as someone said in a previous post about things changing in at FFT.

So City play NPL today and Womens Super League tomorrow at Wentworth Park on two different days ,Two bus trips surely should have being a double header today .

Competitions Manager is paddling and this area needs addressing ASAP .

Think you'll find the competitions manager does the fixture.
