So did anyone not see the way chris carried on after the match Todd shook Harry's hand said sorry they np oth got over it but all chris did was walk around complaining about a tackle which is 2 seconds of 90 minute match. Here's some advice mate instead of complaining about one little thing get your act together with your team because there performance of late is the only thing that's 'disgraceful'.

This is a fairly harsh comment. Knights have shown significant improvement over the past few weeks.

In regards to Chris reaction - Chris Hey rarely shows such emotion and in my experience usually stands up for what he thinks is right.

Though I must admit I did enjoy winding him up after the game... Always have... Always will

What disappoints me more about this post is that it started with Mckenna and Myers having a amicable debate acknowledging each others points and moving on. Then it comes to some poor taste comments.

It does not matter previous history or whether he spoke with the player after the match this type of incident will incite passionate debate. Yours obviously biased towards your team.

I was most surprised that there weren't greater remonstrations on pitch at the time.

So let me ask you something... Knowing that you have played with your fair share of butchers.
Have you ever asked a referee to send one of your players off for such a tackle?

Have you ever told a player in your team that there is no room in the game for their tackles?

I agree with you totally that there should have been more remonstration from Knights players. But that's what happens when your senior competition is propped up with kids.

Obviously you haven't seen or played with Phoenix Rovers...

"Matthew Gasparin" - was the game too fast for you?

video of the tackle frame by frame indicates that Rangers player was attempting to play the ball but mistimed the tackle (probably due to the touch forward by Knights player). Left leg of tackling player goes across IN FRONT of Knights player (that is he was NOT kicked). Contact was predominantly the upper leg area. Certainly reckless. Certainly yellow card. Red card would have been very harsh.

'Reality' the game was a little fast for me but unlike the bushranger from up North, unfortunately I paid and accepted the consequences. I didn't need the replay, a late tackle is exactly that.

Let's just hope that your fast enough and strong enough to cope with a similar tackle, if you are still or have ever played... I guess we will never know, will we 'reality'...?

[quote name="Striker of old"]Ethan Engels, your time now kid!
Engels, Sunday & Alby , that's scary coming at you defenders!

I just watched Ethan's goal from Saturday night? After all the talk how good it was, with only the keeper to beat and plenty of time he kicked the ball into the keeper, and it was heading to the goal line then the South player kicked it in. Keep it deal zebras.

?? After all the talk how good it was? Who said that? It was a dirty goal but at the end of the day the goal counts as Ethans. I'm sure he'll come out and score a clean goal against south on Monday!

Anon #73 - What's in the water up north?

I'd like to know what's in the water down south? I'm sure everyone that's ever played football has made an error in judgement before. It was a mistimed tackle, and Todd would be the first to agree with that, and had the referee given Todd a red, I'm sure he would've taken it without a carry on. Todd however isn't the referee, and he would never intentionally go out to hurt someone. My advice... move on, we've all gotten away with something in the past, and it'll continue to happen. We're only human.

He played in an era when those types of challenges were commonplace and knows that it's not acceptable now.

So did the ref on Sat and he obviously still thinks it's 1980
