A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

University can open up an 8-point lead at the top of the Southern Premier League ladder if they beat second-placed Clarence United away at Wentworth Park at 6pm today.

This would almost certainly be a title-winning margin for the Students.

Kingborough Lions United face a huge challenge when they host Olympia Warriors at Lightwood Park at 2pm today.

They have lost Francis Kenyi, who has returned to Southern FC, while Seung Yong Jin has been omitted ater missing training.

Launceston City will have captain Nathan Bartlett back from suspension when they travel to the NTCA Ground to meet Northern Rangers at 7pm today.

The teams will also be competing for the Mitsubishi-Mazda Cup, as well as for three Victory League points.

The Tilford Zebras midfielder is returning to his previous club, Devonport City.

Jayden Hey signed for South Hobart tonight.

The 20-year-old Glenorchy Knights utility and holder of the 2013 Victory League best-and-fairest medal will train with the reigning champions on Thursday and Friday and take his place in South Hobart’s starting line-up for the game against Glenorchy Knights at South Hobart Oval on Sunday.
