A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

South Hobart will start as favourites in today’s Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy Final against Tilford Zebras at 3pm at KGV Park. 

Zebras may have former Socceroo Steve Corica in their ranks for a one-off appearance, but one man does not make a team.

Steve Corica met his Tilford Zebras team-mates for the first time late this afternoon.

Zebras had a light training session at KGV Park in preparation for tomorrow’s Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy Final, which is scheduled to kick off at KGV Park at 3pm.

Sydney FC youth coach and former Socceroo Steve Corica arrived in Hobart today ready to play for Tilford Zebras in tomorrow’s Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy final against South Hobart at 3pm at KGV Park.

Corica, Zebras’ coach Jed Donoghue, South Hobart coach Ken Morton and South Hobart striker Darcy Hall fronted the media at KGV Park today.

It’s a long weekend and there are no games until Monday.

I don’t know about you, but I would have liked to have seen a game or two on Saturday and Sunday.

Monday’s final of the Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy between Tilford Zebras and South Hobart will be the first time the winner is Tasmania’s representative in the new Football Federation Australia Cup.


Brendan Lakoseljac, 40, Milan’s son, and Bradley Lakoseljac, 13, Milan’s grandson, were at KGV Park today to explain the significance of the trophy.

The Glenorchy Knights Junior Football Club has hit the century mark in terms of registered players.

The club has just registered its 100th player.

Tilford Zebras will have former Socceroos midfielder Steve Corica in their team for Monday’s Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy final against South Hobart.


The winner will qualify for the round of 32 in the inaugural Westfield FFA Cup involving A-League clubs.
