A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Kingborough Lions United will have new signing Nathaniel Taylor, from Brisbane Lions, in their squad when they host Glenorchy Knights at Lightwood park today in a Round 10 Victory League clash. 

Taylor played for Kingborough’s Development League side last night, who lost 5-0 to Tilford Zebras.

Tilford Zebras will be without goalkeeper Nathan Pitchford when they host Olympia Warriors at KGV Park on Friday at 8pm in Round 10 of the Victory League. 

Pitchford is unavailable because of work commitments and will be replaced by former number one Matthew Ferguson.

1.  South Hobart qualified for the inaugural FFA Cup

South Hobart beat Tilford Zebras 3-0 on Monday to qualify as Tasmania’s representative in the inaugural FFA Cup. 

South Hobart will be in the draw for the Round of 32 on 27 June, which will include A-League teams.
