University have appointed Hyo Suk Jin as their technical director.

Mr Jin will also coach the University under-16 side.

A new club, South East United, will commence senior training at Sorell High School on Sunday, 2 February 2014, at 4.30pm.

The club will also host a gala day open to all clubs on 16 February, 2014, featuring games in which players are asked to wear sand shoes as the ground is too hard for boots.

The club will be based at Pembroke Park, which is still under construction at this stage.

“There was a delay, but Sam Fenny, who is our infrastructure engineer, is fixing issues,” said club spokesman Antony Appleby.

“He has been appointed, along with the team that constructed the grounds at Kingborough.

“If anyone has seen the Kingborough grounds, they would know how lucky we are.

“It’s due for completion at the end of March, if everything goes well.

“If there is musical or poetry talent out there that can come up with a club song or lyrics titled ‘South East United!  The Soccer Community by the sea’, they should contact me.”
