A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Rodney Bones has been appointed as senior coach of Southern Premier League club New Town Eagles.

Bones takes over from Dale Itchins, who resigned after being in charge for the 2013 season.

George Krambousanos has been appointed senior men’s coach at Southern Premier League club Taroona for the 2014 season.

Krambousanos last coached Metro in the Southern League One competition.

Glenorchy Knights will host league champions South Hobart at 8pm on Friday, 28 March 2014, in the opening round of this year’s Victory League competition.

And, there will be Victory League games on Good Friday and Anzac Day this year as the Victory League enters its second season.
