Olympia v Zebras - from previous Summer cup scorelines, expected a one sided game. A good close game. Z. not making best of ball in attacking third, some tough ball through. Both teams missing players it seems. Credit to Z. Score to O.
On NTC - Summer Cup scores indicate competition may be two tiered, with insufficient teams in top tier. Development teams need regular, sustained pressure situations.

the NTC girls are not playing against the women is they are not fast enough dont pass quick enough and are generally not giving the girls a run for their money.
So they are not learning anything

Quoting The Football Purist:
The Kelly/Fiotakis combination at Olympia will succeed whilst they can hold on to their 5 to 6 star players. They are smart in utilising these players by implementing a direct,no fussed, rush & kick game style. It is not pretty to watch & is a hiderence in the development of promising young female players but it works for them & it is up to opposition coaches to counter this primitive way of playing. Once these stars move on then others will follow as they will be found out due to a lack of technique & knowledge of the modern game.
Take 5 or 6 star players out of any team in any league and it would make a big difference......
Olympia Premier Womens team has been one of the most successful Womens Team in the past 5 years. They have won 3 Premierships along the way and many cup games.During that period they have had a change of guard and players come and go. They had to re build and do the hard yards to be successful. Can some one tell me why the NTC have dropped out of the Womens competition.?? Why is there a NTC programme for females when they don't even get to play in the Female Competition !!

Please explain since when has playing good football trumped winning? I agree that one should follow the other however winning is the sole purpose when any game is played in any sport if the score is kept understood by all and the only measure of success in that game.

27 The OLympia team was incapable of playing to feet whoever they have training them over there better have a look at their methods.
Someone will now come back and say if they win cup how wrong i am.
But just look how beautifully the NTC girls play no comparision.

I dont like Olympia at all but their strength will see them win by four. The back line of NTC are not strong as yet but time will improve them.

as a spectator friday nights game was the first time I've seen olympia women play the kick and run strategy. any other game they play to feet and play out from the back with ease. don't be so quick to judge on one game.
