Olympia Warriors need just a point from their Division A, Group C match against Metro at 11am at KGV Park today [Saturday] to make absolutely certain of qualifying for the Summer Cup semi-finals.

Glenorchy Knights downed Taroona 2-0 on Friday night to draw level on 6 points with Olympia, but with a superior goal-difference and the game against Metro in hand, Olympia should progress further in defence of their title.

A goal after just 9 seconds by Nathan Bartlett gave Launceston City the confidence they needed to send them on the way to a 10-1 thrashing of New Town Eagles in a Group B, Division A, Summer Cup match at KGV Park on Saturday.

The flood gates opened after that and Bartlett went on to net a hat-trick, while Isaac Degetto and Chris Hill each netted a brace.
