A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Victory League outfit Tilford Zebras qualified for the Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy final today when they beat Southern Premier League opponents Taroona 6-3 away at Kelvedon Park.

The other finalist will be decided on Sunday when Olympia Warriors are at home to fellow Victory League club Glenorchy Knights at 6.30pm at Warrior Park.

Tilford Zebras and Olympia Warriors are the favourites to reach the Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy State-wide final this season.

In Saturday’s semi-final, Victory League outfit Tilford Zebras take on Southern Premier League opponents Taroona away at Kelvedon Park at 2.30pm, while on Sunday, Olympia Warriors host Glenorchy Knights at Warrior Park at 6.30pm in an all-Victory League showdown.

Victory League club Tilford Zebras will have former Australian international and AC Milan goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac between the posts for their game against Devonport City at KGV Park on Saturday, 18 May, 2013.

Kalac is currently the goalkeeper coach at A-League club Sydney FC.

Melbourne Heart FC were the recipients of the Football Media Association (FMA) Club-of-the-Year Award for the second consecutive season last Wednesday night.

The Club was presented with the award at the Melbourne Heart Player-of-the-Year awards night by FMA member and Board Member of Football Federation Victoria, Kimon Taliadoros.
