A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Tasmania’s star women’s player, 18-year-old Jessie Williams, has been selected to participate in a training camp for the Young Matildas this weekend.

Twenty-three players will attend the camp in Canberra from 23-26 May 2013 in preparation for the Young Matildas’ Asian Football Confederation Under-19 Women’s Championships in November.

Tilford Zebras have signed 21-year-old goalkeeper Ryan Norval from Sydney FC.

Norval, who captained the Sydney FC youth team during the 2011-12 season, will make his Victory League debut against South Hobart on Sunday.

Victory League cellar-dwellers Launceston City have dismissed their senior coach, Dane Hudson.

 He is the second coaching casualty in the Victory League following the termination of Stephen Pitchford's contract by Tilford Zebras at the start of April.
