A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Glenorchy Knights had their Victory League shirt presentation function this evening at the Australian Croatian Club in Glenorchy.

Knights Patron, MP Scott Bacon, presented the captain’s armband to Jayden Hey.

The long-awaited start to the Victory League, the latest instalment of a Tasmanian State League, begins tomorrow at 1.00pm at Mitsubishi Park in Launceston with an exciting double-header.

Devonport City take on Tilford Zebras in the opening game, while Launceston City meet Northern Rangers at 3.30pm.

Tilford Zebras held their shirt presentation function at the Australian Italian Club on Thursday evening.

The club’s sponsors were in attendance, as were the Victory League coaches and senior players.

South Hobart have added several new sponsors to their already impressive list of supporters for the 2013 Victory League season.

Electrical contractors Urban Energy have come on board as the Team’s Principal Sponsor.

Kingborough Lions United had a shirt presentation evening for their Victory League squad on Monday evening at the Twin Ovals Function Centre in Kingston.

The event was well attended by players and supporters and the club’s new brand slogan was unveiled.

Aaron Cairns signed with Victory League club Tilford Zebras today and trained with the squad at KGV Park this evening.

Cairns played in midfield for Southern Premier League outfit Clarence United last year.

He was brought to Tasmania from American College soccer last season.
