A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Beachside should retain their lead at the top of the Southern Premier League by beating bottom-side Glenorchy Knights at KGV Park at noon tomorrow.

Beachside are the only side with a perfect record in this competition after three rounds and the cellar dwellers should not trouble them.

Devonport City will field the same starting eleven that thrashed Launceston City 7-1 last weekend when they meet Glenorchy Knights in a Victory League clash at KGV Park at 2pm tomorrow.

 And, Olympia Warriors coach Glen McNeill returns to his roots when his side travel to Mitsubishi Park in Launceston tomorrow for a top versus bottom showdown with Launceston City at 2pm.

Tilford Zebras face an important away match tomorrow when they travel to Launceston to take on Northern Rangers at the NTCA Ground at 2.30pm.

With three straight losses, Zebras are second last and face a stern test against third-ranked Rangers.

South Hobart coach Ken Morton said his side was looking forward to Sunday’s Victory League match against Kingborough Lions United at South Hobart Oval despite the absence of several key players through injury and suspension.

South Hobart are currently second on the Victory League standings and Kingborough are fifth, but just one point behind.

Kurt Reynolds, the Football Federation Tasmania Technical Director and Game Development Manager has resigned.

Reynolds, originally from Launceston, captained the Young Socceroos and played in the old National Soccer League.
