A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Forestry Tasmania Southern Premier League leaders Beachside welcome back Huw Jarvis for their home game with Clarence United at Sandown Park at 4.30pm tomorrow.

But, striker Tom Gordon is unavailable for this clash between first-placed Beachside and fourth-ranked Clarence United.

Olympia Warriors will be without star midfielder Lachlan Nichols when they host Glenorchy Knights at 8pm at Warrior Park today.

Nichols, who came from Canberra to join Olympia, could be out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.

Tasmania’s Jeremy Walker has been selected to attend a Young Socceroos training camp on the New South Wales Central Coast region from 21-25 April 2013.

Walker, who plays for A-League club Melbourne Heart, joins Heart team-mates David Vrankovic and Benjamin Garuccio in the 24-man training squad selected by Young Socceroos coach Paul Okon.

Tommy Fotak held his first training session as head coach of Tilford Zebras last night at KGV Park.

Fotak, formerly the Zebras’ assistant coach, replaced Stephen Pitchford on Sunday after the club committee decided a change was needed.
