A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

This weekend’s Victory League program features a top-of-the-table clash between leaders Olympia Warriors and second-placed South Hobart, as well as the cellar-dwellers showdown between bottom side Launceston City and second-last Glenorchy Knights.

And, the leading goalkeeping coaches in the A-League, who are attending a course in Hobart, will be at the South Hobart versus Olympia game on Saturday.

Fourteen A-League and national team goalkeeping coaches are in Hobart this week undertaking the Football Federation Australia Advanced Level 2 Goalkeeping Coaching Course.

Adam McKeown’s seven goals in Tilford Zebras’ 10-0 win over Launceston City is an individual record for a Tasmanian State League match.

“It was one of my better days at the office,” said McKeown at a media conference at Football Federation Tasmania headquarters on Monday.
