Who Is Walter Pless?


A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Still don't understand McKeown, Hickey and Hingston being bench warmers. All were good when they came on.

Brennans work rate was terrible. If he doesn't want to give his all for his team, especially when there are so many players that would give 100% no matter what, he shouldn't put his hand up to play next time. Its an honour to pull on the state shirt not a right. And I was at the game that night, just commenting now because its so obvious from these highlights that he can only run forward.

Young guy no10 looks good in middle of park on highlights, defence not compact fullbacks not tucking in and getting exposed and over playing the ball to much some time you have to relieve the pressure, some good chances for the Tassie boys unfortunately wasn't to be
