A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

League One leaders Beachside, who have several senior players missing, travel to Weiley Park tomorrow to do battle with third-placed Derwent United.

Beachside coach Brett Pullen said he will be missing quite a few players but that he expects a good game.

Tilford Zebras will have Michael McKenna in goal when they meet Clarence United at KGV park at 8pm on Friday.

McKenna signed from League One club Derwent United during the week.

Michael McKenna has signed for Tilford Zebras and trained with his new club last night.

McKenna had been playing with League One club Derwent United before the surprise move back to the Premier League.
