Who Is Walter Pless?


A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Football Federation Tasmania has responded to criticisms that their Sporting Pulse system is not showing results quickly.

Ben McKay, FFT’s marketing and communications manager, has issued a statement clarifying the situation.

Raelene Hennicke is the Tilford Zebras webmaster and she is also the club’s official photographer.

She is making a name for herself as a football photographer and last season had one of her photos from a game at KGV Park between Zebras and New Town Eagles published on the front page of the Melbourne newspaper, “Goal Weekly”.
