Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

The Qantas Joeys have qualified for the AFC U-16 Championship after defeating Indonesia 5-2 at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok last night and finishing in second position in Group G of the qualification tournament.

Julian Proud, the University striker, should go close to winning the League One best-and-fairest award.

Proud, who has twice won the Vic Tuting Silver Medal, was the third-ranked goalscorer in League One this season with 14 goals.

The 22-year-old midfielder has had talks with South Hobart coach Ken Morton and has decided to transfer to the Forestry Tasmania Southern Premier League champions for the 2012 campaign.
