The NTC/TIS men’s team were in Brisbane on the weekend for a couple of games.

The Tasmanians beat the Queensland Academy of Sport 1-0 and then lost 2-1 to an invitational Ipswich Under-19 side.

The Ipswich team was made of players from Ipswich junior school and club football sides.

Some of those boys now play outside Ipswich, in either the youth or Premier Men’s competitions, or in the Queensland State League, but they still reside in Ipswich.

The visiting Tasmanians watched Brisbane Roar beat Adelaide United 7-1 on Friday night.
