Devonport City are through to the quarterfinals of the Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy after thrashing Launceston United 7-0 at a fogbound Valley Road tonight.

The home side led 2-0 at the interval through goals by Jordan Douce and Grant Ashdown.

The first-round proper of the Milan Lakoseljec Memorial Trophy State-wide competition begins on Friday night when Devonport City host fellow Northern Premier League outfit Launceston United under lights at Valley Road.

Devonport coach, Tom McGinn, is looking forward to the club’s second game under lights, but his son, Daniel, will not be participating because of injury.
