A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Mathieu Gregoire is due to lave Tasmania today after a marvellous contribution to the Glenorchy Knights’ season.

The 27-year-old French midfielder and his partner are off to see the rest of Australia, and possibly New Zealand and Indonesia, before returning to France in October.

Beachside will be up against it tonight when they host Tilford Zebras at Sandown Park at 6.30pm in a game that was postponed earlier this season.

Beachside coach Brett Pullen said he will have up to 10 players unavailable.

Metro have confirmed the resignation of their League One coach, Matthew Rhodes.

The club president, Craig Bidgood, tonight released the following media statement about the resignation:
