A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Zarko Baltic, the president of Glenorchy Knights, has resigned.

Baltic said his resignation was in protest at what he called Football Federation Tasmania’s inconsistency in applying ‘dispute procedures’.

If the Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy Final this season is between Taroona and Olympia Warriors, I’ll crawl on all fours around the perimeter of the South Hobart pitch.

Given my tipping record, I could be in trouble here, but I’ll still go for South Hobart and Devonport City to win Saturday’s semi-finals.

The Qantas Young Socceroos have enjoyed a solid hit out against the Korea Republic with a 1-all draw in an unofficial training match as part of their preparations for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011 which starts later this month.
