A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Football Federation Tasmania will conduct the inaugural Advanced ‘C’ Licence coaching course in Hobart this coming September.

This is a first for Tasmania and FFT hopes local coaches will take advantage of the course to either obtain or update their qualifications.

The Tasmanian under-13 girls’ team have lost their opening game at the Football federation Junior Championships being held in Canberra this week.

The Tasmanians went down 2-1 to Western Australia today.
