Launceston United are the first team through to the next round of the Milan Lakoseljac Memorial Trophy State-wide competition after beating Launceston City 2-1 away at Mitsubishi Park tonight in the preliminary round.

Other than in this year’s Steve Hudson Cup, it was the first competitive win for Launceston United since the 2008 season, when they beat Ulverstone.
